Past Streaks
August 27th Nashville Streak!
Location: Downtown Nashville. What does a crossword puzzle, Bewitched, and an egg toss have in common? They were all apart of our Streak in downtown Nashville. Check out our pictures HERE. The Tennessean and Channel 4 news both did bits on CityStreak this week, and what a blast it was. We had teams running around solving clues, following hidden X trails, and doing the Macerana in front of a street performer. After teams line-danced at the Wildhorse salloon and were handcuffed by police officers, they had to run to the park in front of City Hall to answer trivia and catch an egg from 3 stories high. This Streak required athleticism, wits, observant minds, and an overall fun attitude. Everybody had a blast. We ended and had some Izzie's Ice at the final location. Thank you Kairos for bringing some awesome people along! And congratulations to Alex, Brad, Ben, and Eric for completing the Streak first in 1 hr and 16 minutes. Thank you everybody for Streaking!
August 20th Chicago Streak!
Location: Belmont ave by the el stop. Outcome: awesomeness! Pictures: here . The Streak on Belmont was another change of game for Streakers to enjoy. Teams were advised to start by the Belmont El stop in Lakeview and to have already downloaded and mastered the Zaarly ap. The Streak sent people all around taking videos, pictures, Zaarly-ing (Zaarly is a mobile buyer-powered market, like craigslist but way cooler), and finding a secret streaker. The Secret Streaker was walking along Belmont and the only way to find her was to ask everybody "are you going streaking" to which she would respond with the code word and hand the team an alphabet puzzle. The alphabet puzzle had teams taking pictures of objects that start with every letter in the alphabet! The winning team consisted of 3 girls that walked away $300 richer. We also had a funny face contest in which one guy walked away with a T-shirt. Everybody else enjoyed 50% off sandwiches and discounted drinks at Big City Tap on Belmont. Overall, GREAT STREAK! Thank you everybody for Streaking.
August 6th Chicago Streak!
Southport Streak was awesome! Just like all our Streaks, this one had a new twist added; a Picture Puzzle. Streakers had to watch a video via youtube/facebook in order to find the next clue. When they got to the next clue, every team was given a sheet of paper with 20 pictures of items on Southport. Streak Teams had to run around and find the correct items pictured and take photos with each item. Along the way they also had to teach an older person how to "dougie", play pattycake, and have a random child do "up-downs". Everybody who participated had an absolute blast. The winning team was a pair of regular Streakers who finished in 46 minutes! That was 15 minutes before the 2nd place team. Wow. Drews and Andrea had the opportunity to walk away $300 richer and everybody else enjoyed 50% off burgers and domestic drafts at Newport bar and grill on the corner of Newport and Southport. Thank you everybody for Streaking!
July 9th Chicago Streak!
Wow, the Loop Streak was a blast! why, you might ask? Well check out the pictures of Streakers ran all over downtown Chicago doing crazy things. Some teams painted their faces and screamed, "we're going streaking" down Michigan ave. Some wrapped themselves like mummies and walked like a zombie. The Streak started by allowing people to choose their destiny based on their sports alliance. Cubs fans went to the statue of Mr. Chicago, while Sox fans went to the Art Institute. At each location, Streakers found trivia about their team that led them to the next location. At the next location they were given a task sheet that has varied points based on distance, embarrassment, and difficulty of tasks. The team to accumulate the most points and get back to Emerald Loop by 3:15 won the CASH. Jared Voto and Dan Tokarz returned after 2nd place in the Wrigleyville Streak to win the $300 with 37 points! Second place won free CityStreak t-shirts and was claimed by previous champions Karen Gladstone, Rob Miller, and a new addition to their team Alexander Lurie. Everybody else had a blast, ventured to do something new in their city, and scored half price appetizers and cheap drinks at Emerald Loop. Thank you Streakers for making this Streak phenomenal!
